Description

Always perform the Intelligent Drive Alertness (I-DA) system action test to check that the system operates normally after replacing the around view monitor control unit and any Intelligent Drive Alertness (I-DA) system malfunction.

WARNING:

Be careful of traffic conditions and safety around the vehicle when performing road test.

CAUTION:

Fully understand the following items well before the road test;

  • Precautions: Refer to Precaution for I-DA System Service.

  • System description for I-DA: Refer to System Description.

  • Normal operating condition: Refer to Description.

Work Procedure

WARNING:

Be careful of traffic conditions and safety around the vehicle when performing road test.

CAUTION:

Fully understand the following items well before the road test;

  • Precautions: Refer to Precaution for I-DA System Service.

  • System description for I-DA: Refer to System Description.

  • Normal operating condition: Refer to Description.

CHECK I-DA SYSTEM SETTING

  1. Start the engine to READY.

  2. After set the Nissan Murano vehicle to READY wait for 30 seconds or more.

  3. Check that the I-DA system setting can be enabled/disabled on the combination meter.

  4. Turn OFF the ignition switch and wait for 5 seconds or more.

  5. Check that the previous setting is saved when the engine starts again.

GO TO 2.

ACTION TEST FOR INTELLIGENT DRIVE ALERTNESS (I-DA)

  1. Enable the setting of the I-DA system on the combination meter.

  2. Check the I-DA operation according to the following table:

    LATCH system lower anchor locations - bench seat

    Your vehicle is equipped with special anchor points that are used with LATCH system compatible child restraints. This system may also be referred to as the ISOFIX or ISOFIX compatible system. With this system, you do not have to use a vehicle seat belt to secure the child restraint unless the combined weight of the child and child restraint exceeds 65 lbs. (29.5 kg). If the combined weight of the child and child restraint is greater than 65 lbs. (29.5 kg), use the vehicle’s seat belt (not the lower anchors) to install the child restraint.
