CONNECTOR INSPECTION
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (unit side and connector side).
Data link connector
3CH CAN gateway
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 2.
NO>>Repair the terminal and connector.
CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
Disconnect the connector of 3CH CAN gateway.
Check the continuity between the 3CH CAN gateway harness connector terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 3.
NO>>Check the harness and repair or replace the root cause.
CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (SHORT CIRCUIT)
Check the continuity between the 3CH CAN gateway harness connector terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 4.
NO>>Check the harness and repair or replace the root cause.
CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (SHORT CIRCUIT)
Check the continuity between the 3CH CAN gateway harness connector and the ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 5.
NO>>Check the harness and repair or replace the root cause.
CHECK 3CH CAN GATEWAY TERMINATION CIRCUIT
Remove the 3CH CAN gateway.
Check the resistance between the 3CH CAN gateway terminals.

Is the measurement value within the specification?
YES>>Start the diagnosis again. Follow the trouble diagnosis procedure when past error is detected.
YES>>Error was detected in the diagnostic CAN communication circuit.
NO>>Replace the 3CH CAN gateway.

When securing items using luggage hooks located on the back of the seat or side finisher do not apply a load over more than 6.5 lbs. (29 N) to a single hook.
The luggage hooks that are located on the floor should have loads less than 110 lbs. (490 N) to a single hook.
