Nissan Murano: Instruments and controls / Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) OFF switch

The vehicle should be driven with the VDC
system on for most driving conditions.
If the vehicle is stuck in mud or snow, the
VDC system reduces the engine output to
reduce wheel spin. The engine speed will
be reduced even if the accelerator is depressed
to the floor. If maximum engine
power is needed to free a stuck vehicle,
turn the VDC system off.
To turn off the VDC system, push the VDC
OFF switch. The
indicator light and
the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)
system warning light will come on.
Push the VDC OFF switch again or restart
the engine to turn on the system. For additional
information, refer to “Vehicle Dynamic
Control (VDC) system” in the “Starting
and driving” section of this manual.
The dynamic driver assistance switch is
used to temporarily activate the Intelligent
Lane Intervention (I-LI) system that is enabled
using the settings menu of the vehicle
information display...
The E-call (SOS) button is used in combination
with a NissanConnect® Services subscription
to call for assistance in case of an
emergency.
Pressing the button will (with a paid subscription)
reach a response specialist that
will provide assistance based on the situation
described by the vehicle’s occupant...
Other information:
The sensor is located on the
front of the
vehicle.
To keep the system operating properly, be
sure to observe the following:
Always keep the sensor area of the front
bumper clean.
Do not strike or damage the areas
around the sensor.
Do not cover or attach stickers or similar
objects on the front bumper near
the sensor area...
WARNING
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions
for proper use of the I-FCW
system could result in serious injury or
death.
The I-FCW system can help warn the
driver before a collision occurs but will
not avoid a collision. It is the driver’s
responsibility to stay alert, drive
safely and be in control of the vehicle
at all times...
