Nissan Murano: Brake System :: Basic Inspection / Brake Fluid
BRAKE FLUID LEVEL

Make sure that the brake fluid level in the sub tank is between the MAX and MIN lines.

Visually check around the sub tank and reservoir tank for brake fluid leakage.

If the brake fluid level is excessively low, check the brake system for leakage.

If brake warning lamp remains illuminated after parking brake pedal is released, check the brake system for brake fluid leakage.
BRAKE LINE
Check brake line (tubes and hoses) for cracks, deterioration or other damage. Replace any damaged parts.
Check for brake fluid leakage by fully depressing brake pedal while engine is running.
CAUTION:
If brake fluid leakage occurs around joints, retighten or replace damaged parts as necessary.
Brake Pedal
Inspection
Check the brake pedal height with the floor trim removed.
Check the brake pedal height (H) between the dash lower panel (2) and the brake pedal upper surface...
Brake Master Cylinder
Inspection
Check for brake fluid leakage at the following areas:
Master cylinder mounting face
Reservoir tank mounting face
Sub tank mounting face
Brake tube and brake tube connections
Brake hose and brake hose connections
If any brake fluid leakage is found, repair as necessary...

Luggage hooks
When securing items using luggage hooks located on the back of the seat or side finisher do not apply a load over more than 6.5 lbs. (29 N) to a single hook.
The luggage hooks that are located on the floor should have loads less than 110 lbs. (490 N) to a single hook.
