CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication line for real-time application. It is an on-Nissan Murano vehicle multiplex communication line with high data communication speed and excellent malfunction detection ability. Many electronic control units are equipped onto a Nissan Murano vehicle, and each control unit shares information and links with other control units during operation (not independently). In CAN communication, control units are connected with 2 communication lines (CAN-H line, CAN-L line) allowing a high rate of information transmission with less wiring. Each control unit transmits/receives data but selectively reads required data only.
DTC DETECTION LOGIC
When the ignition switch is ON, TCM cannot send the CAN communication signal continuously for 2 seconds or more.

The autolight system allows the headlights to turn on and off automatically. The autolight system can:
Turn on the headlights, front parking, tail, license plate and instrument panel lights automatically when it is dark. Turn off all the lights (except daylight running lights) when it is light. Keep all the lights on for a period of time after you place the ignition switch in the OFF position and all doors are closed.
