CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH ILLUMINATION OPERATION

Ignition switch ON.
-
Select “ENGINE SW ILLUMI” in “Active Test” mode of “BCM(INTELLIGENT KEY)”.
-
While operating the test items, check that the push-button ignition switch illumination turns ON/OFF.
On : Push-button ignition switch illumination ON Off : Push-button ignition switch illumination OFF
Does the push-button ignition switch illumination turn ON/OFF?
YES>>Push-button ignition switch illumination circuit is normal.
NO>>Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Provides the power supply and the ground to control the push-button ignition switch illumination.
CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH ILLUMINATION OPERATION
CONSULT

Ignition switch ON.
-
Select “ENGINE SW ILLUMI” in “Active Test” mode of “BCM(INTELLIGENT KEY)”.
-
While operating the test item, check voltage between push-button ignition switch connector.

YES>>GO TO 4.

CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH ILLUMINATION POWER SUPPLY OPEN CIRCUIT

Ignition switch OFF.

Disconnect BCM harness connector and the push-button ignition switch harness connector.
-
Check continuity between BCM harness connector and the push-button ignition switch harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 3.
NO>>Repair or replace harness or connectors.
CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH ILLUMINATION POWER SUPPLY SHORT CIRCUIT
Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

YES>>Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO>>Repair or replace harness or connectors.
CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH ILLUMINATION GROUND CIRCUIT

Ignition switch OFF.
-
Disconnect push-button ignition switch harness connector.
-
Check continuity between push-button ignition switch harness connector and ground.
Push-button ignition switch — Continuity Connector Terminal M208 6 Ground Yes
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>Replace push-button ignition switch. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO>>GO TO 5.
CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH ILLUMINATION GROUND OPEN CIRCUIT

Disconnect BCM harness connector and push-button ignition switch harness connector.
-
Check continuity between BCM harness connector and push-button ignition switch harness connector.
Push-button ignition switch BCM Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal M208 6 M80 107 Yes
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO>>Repair or replace harness or connectors.
Map Lamp Circuit
Description
Controls the lamp (ground side) by PWM signal (duty) when the map lamp main switch is DOOR.
Component Function Check
CAUTION:
Check the following items first:
Battery saver output/power supply circuit
Front room/map lamp assembly
CHECK MAP LAMP CONTROL FUNCTION

Fuel gauge
The gauge indicates the approximate fuel level in the tank.
The gauge may move slightly during braking, turning, acceleration, or going up or down hills.
The gauge needle returns to 0 (Empty) after the ignition switch is placed in the OFF position.
