G SENSOR

(Decel G Sensor Performance)
Diagnosis condition Power supply voltage ≥ 10 V
Signal Decel G sensor signal
Threshold

When the all of the following conditions a) to b) are satisfied twice in the same DC, DTC is detected

a) | Variation of acceleration/deceleration | ≥ 0.0273 G

b) | Variation of G after passing Filter | ≦ 0.011 G : Continue for 1 sec
Diagnosis delay time 5 seconds × 2 count

NOTE:

DC stands for “DRIVING CYCLE” and indicates a series of driving cycle of “Ignition switch OFF → ON → driving → OFF”.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Decel G sensor

  • ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)

  • Harness or connector (CAN communication line is error)

FAIL-SAFE

Idle stop is not performed

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PREPARATION BEFORE WORK

If another "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" occurs just before, ignition switch OFF and wait for at least 10 seconds, then perform the next test.

TESTING CONDITION:

Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 10 V.

>>

GO TO 2.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

With CONSULT

  1. Start the engine.

  2. Select “Data Monitor” in “TRANSMISSION”.

  3. Select “G SPEED”.

  4. Drive the Nissan Murano vehicle and maintain the following conditions for 10 seconds or more.

    Selector lever : “D” position
    Vhiecle speed : More than 1 km/h (1 MPH)
    G SPEED : 0.05 G or more

    CAUTION:

Be careful of the driving speed.

  5. Stop the Nissan Murano vehicle.

    CAUTION:

    Never stop the engine.

  6. Repeat steps 4 through 5.

  7. Check the DTC.

Is DTC detected?
