DTC Description

NOTE:

The customer reports CVT judder (shake, shudder, single or multiple bumps or vibration) hesitation on acceleration, lack of power or RPM flare. If DTC P17F0 is detected on his/her Nissan Murano vehicle, this diagnosis is required. However, if DTC P17F0 is detected on the vehicle without the above phenomena, this diagnosis is not required.

DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE:

The customer reports CVT judder (shake, shudder, single or multiple bumps or vibration) hesitation on acceleration, lack of power or RPM flare. If DTC P17F0 is detected on his/her Nissan Murano vehicle, perform first the trouble diagnosis procedure for DTC P17F0. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

CAUTION:

  • Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.

CHECK DTC DETECTION AFTER DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

  2. Turn ignition switch ON.

  3. Perform test drive for 5 minutes or more.

  4. Stop the Nissan Murano vehicle.

  5. Check the DTC.

Is "judder" (shake, shudder, single or multiple bumps or viblation) occurred and is "P17F0" detected?

YES>>

Go to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO>>

INSPECTION END

Diagnosis Procedure

REPLACE SUB-ASSEMBLY AND INSTALL NEW CONTROL VALVE

Replace sub-assembly and install new control valve. Refer to Disassembly & Assembly.
