Removal and Installation - Front Kicking Plate

REMOVAL

Kicking Plate - Inner

Release front inner kicking plate (1) pawls by lifting up from both ends of front inner kicking plate as shown.

CAUTION:

Do not attempt to remove front inner kicking plate before releasing inner pawls.

While lifting front inner kicking plate inner pawls, release remaining pawls and remove.

Kicking Plate - Outer

Release clip (A) using suitable tool (B).

: Front

: Clip

Release remaining clips using suitable tool and remove front outer kicking plate.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

• Visually check clips and pawls for deformation and damage during installation. Replace with new ones if necessary.

• When installing front kicking plates, check that clips and pawls are securely placed in body panel holes.

REMOVAL

Kicking Plate - Inner

Release rear inner kicking plate inner pawls by lifting up from both ends of rear inner kicking plate (1) as shown.

: Pawl

CAUTION:

Do not attempt to remove rear inner kicking plate before releasing inner pawls.

While lifting rear inner kicking plate inner pawls, release remaining pawls and remove.

Kicking Plate - Outer

Release clip (A) using suitool (B).

: Front

: Clip

Release remaining clips using suitable tool and remove rear outer kicking plate.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

• Visually check clips and pawls for deformation and damage during installation. Replace with new ones if necessary.

• When installing rear kicking plates, check that clips and pawls are securely placed in body panel holes.
