FUNCTION DESCRIPTION
The Intelligent Drive Alertness (I-DA) is controlled by the ADAS control unit control unit.
ON/OFF of the Intelligent Drive Alertness (I-DA) is performed by using the combination meter.
Intelligent Drive Alertness system helps alert the driver when the system detects a lack of attention or driving fatigue.
The system monitors driving style and steering behavior over a period of time, and it detects changes from the normal pattern.
When the system detects that driver attention is decreasing over a period of time, the system uses an audible and visual warning to suggest that the driver take a break.
OPERATION DESCRIPTION
When the system detects that driver fatigue or that driver attention is decreasing, the message “Take a break?” appears in the Nissan Murano vehicle information display and a chime sounds when the vehicle is driven at speeds above 60 km/h (37 MPH).
The system continuously monitors driver attention and can provide multiple warnings per trip.
The system resets and starts reassessing driving style and steering behavior when the ignition switch is cycled from on to off and back on.
Operation Condition
Intelligent Drive Alertness (I-DA): ON
Vehicle speed approximately 60 km/h (37 MPH) or more
NOTE:
Intelligent Drive Alertness (I-DA) system ON/OFF can be set on the combination meter.
When the ignition switch OFF, the system is reset.
The Intelligent Drive Alertness (I-DA) system may not function properly, depending on the situation. Refer to Precautions for Intelligent Drive Alertness.
