SYSTEM DIAGRAM

ADAS CONTROL UNIT INPUT/OUTPUT SIGNAL ITEM

Transmits a signal to display a status on the Nissan Murano vehicle information display.

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION

  • Displays the road conditions as identified by the lane camera unit on the information display, and alerts the driver.

  • Identifies the road sign information.

  • The lane camera unit detects road signs as described below and displays them on the information display.

EXAMPLE

OPERATION DESCRIPTION

  • The TSR system is controlled by the ADAS control unit.

  • The ADAS control unit turns on the TSR system when turned on by the combination meter.

  • The lane camera unit detects the road sign.

  • The lane camera unit transmits the meter display signal to the combination meter, when detecting the road sign.

  • The lane camera unit adjusts the detection range of road signs according to a steering angle sensor signal received from the steering angle sensor.

Operation Condition

  • TSR: ON

NOTE:

  • TSR system ON/OFF can be set on the combination meter.

  • The TSR system may not function properly, depending on the situation.

Fail-safe

Refer to Fail-safe [Distance Sensor (ICC Sensor)].

Fail-safe (Sonar Control Unit)

If a malfunction occurs in the Sonar, the ADAS control unit cancels control, sounds a beep, and turns ON the RAB system warning light in the combination meter.

Fail-safe (ADAS Control Unit)

Fail-safe (Lane Camera Unit)

FAIL-SAFE CONTROL BY DTC

Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

If a malfunction occurs in the lane camera unit, ADAS control unit cancels control, and turns ON the lane departure warning lamp in the combination meter.

Intelligent Lane Intervention (I-LI)

If a malfunction occurs in the lane camera unit, ADAS control unit cancels control, sounds a beep, and turns ON the lane departure warning lamp in the combination meter.

Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR)

If a malfunction occurs in lane camera unit, lane camera unit cancels control, and turns ON the TSR malfunction in information display.

TEMPORARY DISABLED STATUS AT HIGH TEMPERATURE

  • Temporary disabled status at high temperature

    • If the vehicle is parked in direct sunlight under high temperature conditions, the system may be deactivated automatically. The ADAS control unit turns on the warning lamp and blinks warning in the combination meter.

    • When interior temperature is reduced, the system will resume operation automatically.

  • When Nissan Murano vehicle front identification is difficult

    • When vehicle front identification is difficult due to soiling of windshield glass and strong light shining from the front, operation may be canceled temporarily. At this time, the ADAS control unit turns on the warning lamp and the warning in the combination meter.

    • Normal operation recovers when conditions improve.

Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

  • If the vehicle is parked in direct sunlight under high temperature conditions, the system may be deactivated automatically. And the lane departure warning lamp (yellow) in the combination meter will blink.

  • When interior temperature is reduced, the system will resume operation automatically and the lane departure warning lamp (yellow) in the combination meter will stop blinking.

Fail-safe (Side Radar)

FAIL-SAFE CONTROL BY DTC

Blind Spot Warning (BSW)/Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

If a malfunction occurs in the side radar, ADAS control unit cancels control, and turns ON the Blind Spot Warning indicator (orange) on the combination meter.

TEMPORARY DISABLED STATUS AT BLOCKAGE

Blind Spot Warning (BSW)

When the side radar is blocked, the operation is temporarily cancelled. Then the buzzer sounds and the Blind Spot Warning indicator (orange) is turned ON in the combination meter. Also, under the following conditions, the operation may be temporarily cancelled:

  • The side radar may be blocked by temporary ambient conditions such as splashing water, mist or fog.

  • The blocked condition may also be caused by objects such as ice, frost or dirt obstructing the side radar.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

When the side radar is blocked, the operation is temporarily cancelled. Then the buzzer sounds and the Blind Spot Warning indicator (orange) is turned ON in the combination meter. Also, under the following conditions, the operation may be temporarily cancelled.

  • The side radar may be blocked by temporary ambient conditions such as splashing water, mist or fog.
