REMOVAL
Remove front wiper arms (LH/RH). Refer to Removal and Installation.
Remove cowl top side trim covers (LH/RH).
Remove cowl top cover clips.
Remove the cowl top cover (1) as shown.

CAUTION:
When performing the procedure after removing cowl top cover, cover the lower end of windshield with urethane, etc, to prevent damage to the windshield.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
REMOVAL
Remove front wiper drive assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Disconnect brake fluid level sensor harness connector from brake fluid level sensor.
Remove sub tank and sub tank bracket from cowl top extension and set aside. Refer to Exploded View.
Remove cowl top extension bolts and remove.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
When installing the cowl top extension, tighten the bolts to specification in the order shown.

Driver’s side
The knee air bag is located in the knee bolster, on the driver’s and passenger’s side. All of the information, cautions and warnings in this manual apply and must be followed. The knee air bag is designed to inflate in higher severity frontal collisions, although it may inflate if the forces in another type of collision are similar to those of a higher severity frontal impact. It may not inflate in certain collisions.
