PRECONDITIONING
If “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE” has been previously conducted, always place the ignition switch in the OFF position and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

DTC REPRODUCTION PROCEDURE
CONSULT

Ignition switch OFF to ON.
-
Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "EPS/DAST 3".
Is DTC “C1606” detected?
YES>>Proceed to diagnosis procedure. Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
NO>>Inspection End.
SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT
CONSULT
-
Ignition switch OFF to ON.
-
Erase "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "EPS/DAST 3".
-
Ignition switch OFF and wait for at least 10 seconds.
-
Ignition switch ON.
-
Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "EPS/DAST 3".
Is DTC “C1606” detected?
YES>>Power steering motor is malfunctioning. Replace power steering oil pump assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO>>Check pin terminal and connection of each harness connector for malfunctioning conditions.
