DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
CONSULT
Erase DTC.
Ignition switch OFF.
Select the “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “BCM”, after ignition switch ON for 120 seconds or more.
Check DTC.
Is any DTC detected?
YES>>Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
NO>>To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.
NO>>Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.
CHECK FUSE
Check that the following fuse is not blown:

Is the fuse or fusible link blown?
YES>>Replace the blown fuse after repairing the affected circuit.
NO>>GO TO 2.
CHECK BAT BCM FUSE CIRCUIT
Disconnect BCM connector.
Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO>>Repair or replace harness or connectors. GO TO 3.
CHECK BATTERY SAVER OUTPUT CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
Ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect following connectors:
Automatic back door close switch (if equipped)
Luggage room lamp
Vanity lamp LH
Vanity lamp RH
Front room/map lamp assembly
Personal lamp 2ND row LH
Personal lamp 2ND row RH
Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO>>Repair or replace harness or connectors.

Power Supply and Ground Circuit
When securing items using luggage hooks located on the back of the seat or side finisher do not apply a load over more than 6.5 lbs. (29 N) to a single hook.
The luggage hooks that are located on the floor should have loads less than 110 lbs. (490 N) to a single hook.
