CHECK REVERSE INPUT SIGNAL

Ignition switch ON.
-
Shift the selector lever to R (reverse).
-
Check voltage between audio unit connector and ground.
Audio unit Ground Condition Voltage
(Approx.)(+) (−) Connector Terminal M121 8 — Selector lever in R (reverse) Battery Voltage
Is inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 2.
NO>>Repair or replace harness or connectors.
CHECK CAMERA POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT CONTINUITY
-
Ignition switch OFF.
-
Disconnect audio unit connector and rear view camera connector.
-
Check continuity between audio unit connector and rear view camera connector.
Audio unit Rear view camera Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal M122 28 D568 2 Yes -
Check continuity between audio unit connector and ground.
Audio unit Ground Continuity Connector Terminal M122 28 No
Is inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 3.
NO>>Repair or replace harness or connectors.
CHECK CAMERA POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE
-
Connect audio unit connector and rear view camera connector.
-
Ignition switch ON.
-
Shift the selector lever to R (reverse).
-
Check voltage between audio unit connector and ground.
Audio unit Ground Condition Voltage
(Approx.)(+) (−) Connector Terminal M122 28 — Selector lever is in “R”. 6.0 V
Is inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 4.
NO>>Replace audio unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.
CHECK CAMERA IMAGE SIGNAL CIRCUIT CONTINUITY

Ignition switch OFF.
-
Disconnect audio unit connector and rear view camera connector.
-
Check continuity between audio unit connector and rear view camera connector.
Audio unit Rear view camera Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal M122 49 D568 4 Yes -
Check continuity between audio unit connector and ground.
Audio unit Ground Continuity Connector Terminal M122 49 No
Is inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 5.
NO>>Repair or replace harness or connectors.
CHECK CAMERA GROUND CIRCUIT CONTINUITY
Check continuity between audio unit connector and rear view camera connector.

Check signal between audio unit connector and ground.

Is inspection result normal?
YES>>Replace audio unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO>>Replace rear view camera. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Driver and passenger supplemental knee air bag
Driver’s side
The knee air bag is located in the knee bolster, on the driver’s and passenger’s side. All of the information, cautions and warnings in this manual apply and must be followed. The knee air bag is designed to inflate in higher severity frontal collisions, although it may inflate if the forces in another type of collision are similar to those of a higher severity frontal impact. It may not inflate in certain collisions.
