Nissan Murano: Interior Lighting System :: Dtc/circuit Diagnosis / Mood Lamp Circuit

Component Function Check

NOTE:

Before performing the diagnosis, check that the following are normal:

CHECK MOOD LAMP OPERATION

CONSULT

1. Ignition switch ON.

2. Select “SHIFT SPOT LAMP TEST” in “Active Test” mode of “BCM(INTELLIGENT KEY)”.

3. With operating the test items, check that each mood lamp turns ON/OFF.

   On	: Mood lamp ON
   Off	: Mood lamp OFF

Do the mood lamps turn ON/OFF?

Mood lamp control circuit is normal.

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

CHECK MOOD LAMP CONTROL OUTPUT

CONSULT

1. Ignition switch OFF.

2. Ignition switch ON.

3. Select “SHIFT SPOT LAMP TEST” in “Active Test” mode of “BCM(INTELLIGENT KEY)”.

4. With operating the test item, check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

GO TO 2.

Fixed ON. GO TO 3.

Fixed OFF. Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

CHECK MOOD LAMP OPEN CIRCUIT

1. Ignition switch OFF.

2. Disconnect the BCM connector and front room/map lamp assembly connector.

3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and front room/map lamp assembly connector.

   BCM		Mood lamp			Continuity
   Connector	Terminal	Connector		Terminal
   M19	45	Front room/map lamp assembly (mood lamp)	R6	2	Yes

Is the inspection result normal?

Replace front room/map lamp assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Repair or replace harnesses.

CHECK MOOD LAMP SHORT CIRCUIT

1. Ignition switch OFF.

2. Disconnect BCM connector and front room/map lamp assembly connector.

3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Repair or replace harnesses.
