Heavy tight-corner braking symptom occurs when the vehicle is driven and the steering wheel is turned fully to either side after the engine is started.
NOTE:
Light tight-corner braking symptom may occur depending on driving conditions. This is not malfunction.
SELECT SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT 1
CONSULT
Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “ENGINE”.
Is any DTC detected?
YES>>Check the DTC. Refer to DTC Index.
NO>>GO TO 2.
SELECT SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT 2
CONSULT
Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “ALL MODE AWD/4WD”.
Is DTC “U1000” detected?
YES>>Proceed to Trouble Diagnosis Flow Chart.
NO>>GO TO 3.
CHECK AWD SOLENOID
Perform the trouble diagnosis of the AWD solenoid. Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 4.
NO>>Repair or replace the error-detected parts.
CHECK ELECTRIC CONTROLLED COUPLING
Ignition switch OFF.
Set the transaxle to neutral. Release the parking brake.
Lift up the Nissan Murano vehicle.
Rotate the propeller shaft by hand.
Hold rear wheel of right and left lightly.
Does rear wheel rotate?
YES>>Replace electric controlled coupling for mechanical malfunction (clutch sticking etc.). Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO>>Check each harness connector pin terminal for disconnection.

LATCH system lower anchor locations - bench seat
Your vehicle is equipped with special anchor points that are used with LATCH system compatible child restraints. This system may also be referred to as the ISOFIX or ISOFIX compatible system. With this system, you do not have to use a vehicle seat belt to secure the child restraint unless the combined weight of the child and child restraint exceeds 65 lbs. (29.5 kg). If the combined weight of the child and child restraint is greater than 65 lbs. (29.5 kg), use the vehicle’s seat belt (not the lower anchors) to install the child restraint. Be sure to follow the child restraint manufacturer’s instructions for installation.
