Component Function Check

CHECK HEADLAMP (HI) OPERATION

CONSULT

  1. Select “EXTERNAL LAMPS” in “Active Test” mode of “IPDM E/R”.

  2. While operating the test items, check that the headlamp (HI) blinks.

    Hi : Headlamp (HI) blinks (ON/OFF is repeated 1 second each).
    Off : Headlamp (HI) OFF

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Headlamp (HI) circuit is normal.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Description.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK HEADLAMP (HI) FUSE

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Check that the following fuses are not blown:

    Component Location Fuse No. Capacity
    Headlamp HI (RH) IPDM E/R 34 10 A
    Headlamp HI (LH) 35

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Replace the blown fuse after repairing the affected circuit.

CHECK HEADLAMP (HI) OUTPUT VOLTAGE

CONSULT

  1. Disconnect applicable front combination lamp connector.

  2. Ignition switch ON.

  3. Select “EXTERNAL LAMPS” in “Active Test” mode of “IPDM E/R”.

  4. While operating the test items, check voltage between applicable front combination lamp harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Perform the LED headlamp diagnosis. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO>>

GO TO 3.

CHECK HEADLAMP (HI) POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.

  3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and front combination lamp harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.
