CHECK CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT SWITCH FUNCTION
Check that climate controlled seat activates when operating the climate controlled seat control switch.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>Climate controlled seat switch is OK.
NO>>Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
CHECK CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT SWITCH CIRCUIT

Ignition switch OFF.
-
Disconnect climate controlled seat switch connector and climate controlled seat control unit connector.
-
Check continuity between climate controlled seat switch harness connector and climate controlled seat control unit harness connector.

Check continuity between climate controlled seat switch harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 2.
NO>>Repair or replace harness.
CHECK CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT SWITCH POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

Check continuity between climate controlled seat switch harness connector and climate controlled seat control unit harness connector.

Check continuity between climate controlled seat switch harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 3.
NO>>Repair or replace harness.
CHECK CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT SWITCH POWER SUPPLY

Connect climate controlled seat control unit connector.
-
Ignition switch ON.
-
Check voltage between climate controlled seat switch harness connector and ground.
(+) (–) Voltage

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 4.
NO>>Replace appropriate climate controlled seat control unit. Refer to Climate Controlled Seat Control Unit.
CHECK CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT SWITCH
Check climate controlled seat switch.
Refer to Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.
NO>>Replace climate controlled seat switch. Refer to Climate Controlled Seat Switch.
CHECK CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT SWITCH

Ignition switch OFF.

Disconnect climate controlled seat switch connector.

Check the continuity between climate controlled seat switch terminals under the following terminals:

LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) system
LATCH system lower anchor locations - bench seat
Your vehicle is equipped with special anchor points that are used with LATCH system compatible child restraints. This system may also be referred to as the ISOFIX or ISOFIX compatible system. With this system, you do not have to use a vehicle seat belt to secure the child restraint unless the combined weight of the child and child restraint exceeds 65 lbs. (29.5 kg). If the combined weight of the child and child restraint is greater than 65 lbs. (29.5 kg), use the vehicle’s seat belt (not the lower anchors) to install the child restraint. Be sure to follow the child restraint manufacturer’s instructions for installation.
