Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "BCM".

Check BCM for DTC.
Is DTC detected?
YES>>
Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
NO>>
Inspection End.
Diagnosis Procedure
CHECK ECM IGNITION, POWER AND GROUND CIRCUITS
Check ECM ignition power and ground circuits. Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>
Replace ECM. Refer to Removal and Installation. GO TO 2.
NO>>
Repair or replace harness or connectors.

Ignition switch ON.

Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of "BCM".

Select “ERASE”.

Perform Nissan Murano vehicle remote start operation.
Does DTC B261B return?
YES>>
Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO>>
