PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
CONSULT

Ignition switch under the following condition:
Brake pedal: Not depressed.
-
Release ignition switch and wait 100 seconds or more.
-
Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “BCM”.
-
Check DTC.
Is DTC detected?
YES>>Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
NO>>Inspection End.
CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
-
Ignition switch OFF.
-
Disconnect push-button ignition switch connector.
-
Check voltage between push-button ignition switch harness connector and ground.
(+) (–) Voltage
(Approx.)Push-button ignition switch Connector Terminal M208 8 Ground Battery voltage
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 4.
NO>>GO TO 2.
CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH CIRCUIT

Disconnect BCM connector and IPDM E/R connector E119.

Check continuity between push-button ignition switch harness connector and BCM harness connector.
Push-button ignition switch BCM Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal M208 8 M18 1 Yes -
Check continuity between push-button ignition switch harness connector and ground.
Push-button ignition switch Ground Continuity Connector Terminal M208 8 No
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 3.
NO>>Repair or replace harness.
REPLACE BCM
-
Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Perform initialization of BCM and registration of all Intelligent Keys. Refer to Work Procedure.

Inspection End.
CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH
Refer to Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 5.
NO>>Replace push-button ignition switch. Refer to Removal and Installation.
CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to Intermittent Incident.

CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH

Ignition switch OFF.

Disconnect push-button ignition switch connector.

Check continuity between push-button ignition switch terminals.
