  • Automatic back door control module receives wake up signal via CAN communication with BCM

  • Automatic back door control module cannot detect ignition switch ON signal via CAN communication with IPDM E/R

DTC Confirmation Procedure

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AUTO BACK DOOR”.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

DTC “B2401-86”: Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure (B2401-86).

YES>>

DTC “B2401-87”: Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure (B2401-87).

NO>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

Diagnosis Procedure (B2401-86)

CHECK DTC OF BCM AND IPDM E/R

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “BCM” and “IPDM E/R”.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Index (BCM) or DTC Index (IPDM E/R).

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK IGN SW DATA MONITOR ITEM

CONSULT

  1. Select “IGN SW” in “Data Monitor” mode of “AUTO BACK DOOR”.

  2. Check that the function operates normally according to the following conditions.

Other than ON position OFF

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

GO TO 4.

ERASE DTC

CONSULT

  1. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AUTO BACK DOOR”

  2. Erase DTC, and then repeat “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE”. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.

Is DTC “B2401-86” detected?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

REPLACE AUTOMATIC BACK DOOR CONTROL MODULE

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Replace automatic back door control module. Refer to Removal and Installation.

  3. Ignition switch ON.

  4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AUTO BACK DOOR”.

Is DTC “B2401-86” detected?

YES>>

Check CAN communication trouble. Refer to Trouble Diagnosis Flow Chart.

NO>>

Inspection End.

Diagnosis Procedure (B2401-87)

CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS

Check CAN communication trouble diagnosis. Refer to Trouble Diagnosis Flow Chart.

GO TO 2.

ERASE DTC

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AUTO BACK DOOR”.

  3. Erase DTC, and then repeat “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE”. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.

Is DTC “B2401–87” detected?

YES>>

Replace automatic back door control module. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Inspection End.
