Nissan Murano: Dtc/circuit Diagnosis / B1328 External Microphone 1

DTC Description

DTC DETECTION LOGIC

POSSIBLE CAUSE

• Microphone is not connected

• Harness or connector

FAIL-SAFE

Microphone is inoperative

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

1. Ignition switch ON.

2. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.

3. Ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.

4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “MULTI AV”.

5. Check DTC.

Is DTC B1328 detected?

Proceed to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

DETERMINE MALFUNCTION TYPE

CONSULT

1. Ignition switch ON.

2. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.

3. Ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.

4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “MULTI AV”.

5. Check DTC.

Is DTC B1328–11, 12 or 13 detected?

13 [OPEN] or 11 [GND–SHORT] – GO TO 2.

12 [VB–SHOR] – GO TO 3.

Refer to Intermittent Incident.

CHECK MICROPHONE CIRCUITS FOR OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND

1. Ignition switch OFF.

2. Disconnect audio unit connector and microphone connector.

3. Check the continuity between audio unit connector and microphone connector.

4. Check the continuity between audio unit connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

Replace microphone. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Repair or replace harness or connectors.

CHECK MICROPHONE CIRCUITS FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY

1. Ignition switch ON.

2. Check the voltage between audio unit connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

Replace microphone. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Repair or replace harness or connectors.
