AM/FM 1 antenna

(Radio antenna) 		[OPEN] Diagnosis condition When ignition switch is ON.
Signal (terminal) ANT +B circuit between audio unit and antenna base (terminal 67)
Threshold –
Diagnosis delay time 30 seconds or more
B1315–11 [GND–SHORT] Diagnosis condition When ignition switch is ON.
Signal (terminal) ANT +B circuit between audio unit and antenna base (terminal 67)
Threshold –
Diagnosis delay time 30 seconds or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Radio antenna is not connected

  • Harness or connector (ANT +B circuit is open or short to ground)

FAIL-SAFE

No AM/FM radio reception

Confirmation Procedure

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.

  3. Ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.

  4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “MULTI AV”.

  5. Check DTC.

Is DTC B1315 detected?

YES>>

Proceed to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK ANTENNA CONNECTOR

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Visually inspect radio antenna, antenna feeder and antenna connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK ANTENNA CIRCUIT CONTINUITY

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect audio unit connector and antenna base connector.

  3. Check continuity between audio unit connector and antenna base connector.

  4. Check continuity between audio unit connector and ground.

    Audio unit Ground Continuity
    Connector Terminal
    M124 67 — No

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK AUDIO UNIT VOLTAGE

  1. Connect audio unit connector and antenna base connector.

  2. Ignition switch ON.

  3. Check the voltage between audio unit and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace antenna. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Replace audio unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.
