Inspection
Check front and rear axle and suspension parts for excessive play, cracks, wear or other damage.

Shake each wheel to check for excessive play.

Check wheel bearings for smooth operation.

Check axle and suspension nuts and bolts for looseness.

Check strut (shock absorber) for oil leakage or other damage.

Check suspension ball joint for grease leakage and ball joint dust cover for cracks or other damage.

Inspection
FLUID LEVELVerify proper power steering fluid level.
Check power steering fluid level with engine stopped and the fluid temp between 0 – 30° C (32 – 86° F)...
Inspection
Check the following items, and replace the parts as necessary.Check drive shaft mounting points and drive shaft joint for looseness and other damage...

Removal and Installation
REMOVALDisconnect both the negative and positive battery terminals, then wait at least three minutes. Refer to Exploded View.
Remove the steering column covers...
Removal and Installation
Release lock knob on back of Intelligent Key and remove key.
Insert a suitable tool (A) wrapped with a cloth into slit of corner and twist it to separate upper part from lower part.
CAUTION:
Do not insert a tool into notches of Intelligent Key to pry it open as this may damage circuit board...
