AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT
Vehicle specifications are not yet written in a new air bag diagnosis sensor unit. It is therefore necessary to write the specifications to the new unit and then perform “Re/programming, Configuration” with CONSULT.
OCS CONTROL UNIT
WARNING:
Always perform zero point reset using CONSULT when removing and installing the front passenger seat or servicing the occupant classification system (OCS). If zero point reset is not performed, the OCS may not operate normally, which may increase the risk of serious injury in a collision.
WORK PROCEDURE WHEN REPLACING AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT
SAVING VEHICLE SPECIFICATION
CONSULT
Read out the Nissan Murano vehicle specification from the old air bag diagnosis sensor unit and save the vehicle specification to CONSULT. Refer to “Configuration (reading)” in the “CONSULT Operation Manual”.
NOTE:
For the air bag diagnosis sensor unit, the Type ID is stored in CONSULT.
The Type ID is the part number (Nissan Murano vehicle specification) that is to be written to the air bag diagnosis sensor unit.

REPLACE AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT
Replace air bag diagnosis sensor unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

WRITING Nissan Murano Vehicle SPECIFICATION
CONSULT
Perform writing of the saved vehicle specification data according to the “Configuration” procedure in the “CONSULT Operation Manual”. Refer to Work Procedure.

WORK PROCEDURE WHEN REPLACING OCS CONTROL UNIT
PERFORM ZERO POINT RESET
Perform zero point reset. Refer to Special Repair Requirement.

Zero Point Reset
The gauge indicates the approximate fuel level in the tank.
The gauge may move slightly during braking, turning, acceleration, or going up or down hills.
The gauge needle returns to 0 (Empty) after the ignition switch is placed in the OFF position.
