BEFORE REPLACEMENT
When replacing audio unit, save or print current vehicle specification with CONSULT configuration before replacement.
NOTE:
If “Before Replace ECU” cannot be used, use the “After Replace ECU” or “Manual Configuration” after replacing audio unit.
AFTER REPLACEMENT
CAUTION:
When replacing audio unit, you must perform “After Replace ECU” with CONSULT.
Complete the procedure of “After Replace ECU” in order.
If you set incorrect “After Replace ECU”, incidents might occur.
Configuration is different for each Nissan Murano vehicle model. Confirm configuration of each vehicle model.
SAVE VIN DATA (AUDIO UNIT)
CONSULT work support
Perform “SAVE VIN DATA” to save current VIN data.

GO TO 2.
SAVE “OPERATION LOG”
CONSULT
Save Operation Log, according to the procedure of “Programming” in CONSULT Operation Manual.
NOTE:
Audio unit part number is saved in “Operating Log” saved in CONSULT.

GO TO 3.
REPLACE AUDIO UNIT
Replace audio unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

GO TO 4.
CHECK “OPERATION LOG”
CONSULT
Check “Operation Log” saved before replacing the audio unit, according to the procedure of “Programming” in CONSULT Operation Manual.
NOTE:
For the Nissan Murano vehicle that the programming is to be performed, check if “Operation Log” of parts number is in Saved Data List.
Is there an applicable Operation Log in the Saved Data List?
YES>>GO TO 5.
NO>>GO TO 6.
PERFORM AUDIO UNIT PROGRAMMING
CONSULT
Perform audio unit programming, according to “Programming” of CONSULT Operation Manual. Refer to CONSULT Operation Manual.
CAUTION:
During programming, maintain the following conditions:
Ignition switch: ON
Electric load: OFF
Brake pedal: Not depressed
12V battery voltage: 12 – 13.5 V (Check the value displayed on the CONSULT screen.)

GO TO 8.
READ IN AUDIO UNIT PART NUMBER BY “FAST LINKED”
Obtain audio unit part number by NISSAN PARTS CATALOGUE GLOBAL Web-FAST, according to the procedure of “FAST linked” in CONSULT Operation Manual. Refer to CONSULT Operation Manual.
CAUTION:
Be sure select “FAST linked”.
NOTE:
“FAST linked” allows an appropriate programming by obtaining ECU part number from NISSAN PARTS CATALOGUE GLOBAL Web-FAST even when the part number cannot be obtained from the old ECU used before replacing with a new one.

PERFORM PROGRAMMING (FAST LINKED)
CONSULT
Perform audio unit programming according to the procedure of FAST linked in CONSULT Operation Manual. Refer to CONSULT Operation Manual.
CAUTION:
During programming, maintain the following conditions:
Ignition switch: ON
Electric load: OFF
Brake pedal: Not depressed
12V battery voltage: 12 – 13.5 V (Check the value displayed on the CONSULT screen.)

CONFIGURATION (AUDIO UNIT)
CONSULT Configuration
Perform configuration. Refer to Work Procedure.

WRITE VIN DATA (AUDIO UNIT)
CONSULT work support
Perform “WRITE VIN (SAVED DATA)” or “WRITE VIN (MANUAL INPUT)” to write VIN data.

Configuration (audio Unit)
The autolight system allows the headlights to turn on and off automatically. The autolight system can:
Turn on the headlights, front parking, tail, license plate and instrument panel lights automatically when it is dark. Turn off all the lights (except daylight running lights) when it is light. Keep all the lights on for a period of time after you place the ignition switch in the OFF position and all doors are closed.
