Symptom check: In the following conditions, the warning system chime may not sound even if the vehicle distance is short.
When the vehicles are traveling at the same speed and the distance between vehicles is not changing.
When the Nissan Murano vehicle ahead is traveling faster and the distance between vehicles is increasing.
When the accelerator pedal is depressed, overriding the system.
When own Nissan Murano vehicle approaches vehicles that are parked or moving slowly.
The warning system chime does not sound when the system does not detect any Nissan Murano vehicle ahead. (Diagnose the conditions under which the system is detecting the vehicle ahead and when the system is malfunctioning. If there is any malfunction in detecting the Nissan Murano vehicle ahead, check the system following the Diagnosis Procedure.)
PERFORM ACTIVE TEST
Check if the warning system chime sounds on the active test item “ICC BUZZER” of “LASER/RADAR” with CONSULT.
Does the warning chime sound?
YES>>GO TO 2.
NO>>GO TO 3.
CHECK THE MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM DURING WARNING SYSTEM CHIME OPERATION
Understand the Nissan Murano vehicle ahead detecting condition when the malfunction occurred. If the warning system chime should have sounded, replace the distance sensor (ICC sensor). Refer to Removal and Installation.

GO TO 8.
PERFORM ACTIVE TEST
Check if the warning system chime sounds on the active test item “METER BUZZER” of “ICC/ADAS”.
Does the warning chime sound?
YES>>GO TO 9.
NO>>GO TO 5.
CHECK ICC WARNING CHIME CIRCUIT
Check the ADAS warning system buzzer circuit. Refer to Component Function Check.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 8.
NO>>GO TO 7.
PERFORM THE SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT
Perform “Self Diagnostic Result” with CONSULT.
Check if DTC “U1000” is detected in “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “ICC/ADAS”.
Is “U1000” detected?
YES>>GO TO 6.
NO>>GO TO 4.
CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM INSPECTION
Check the CAN communication system and repair or replace malfunctioning parts. Refer to DTC Description.

REPAIR OR REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS
Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

GO TO 10.
REPLACE ADAS CONTROL UNIT
Replace the ADAS control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

PERFORM DISTANCE SENSOR (ICC SENSOR) ALIGNMENT
Perform distance sensor (ICC sensor) alignment. Refer to Work Procedure.
Perform action test. Refer to Description.
Check that the Nissan Murano vehicle ahead detection performance improves.

GO TO 10.
CHECK ICC SYSTEM
Erase the “Self Diagnostic Result”, and then perform “Self Diagnostic Result” again after performing the action test. (Refer to Description for action test.)
Check that the ICC system is normal.
