DESCRIPTION

CAN COMMUNICATION

CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication line for real time applications. It is an on-Nissan Murano vehicle multiplex communication line with high data communication speed and excellent error detection ability. Modern Nissan Murano vehicles are equipped with many electronic control units, and each control unit shares information and links with other control units during operation (not independent). In CAN communication, control units are connected with 2 communication lines (CAN-H, CAN-L) allowing a high rate of information transmission with less wiring. Each control unit transmits/receives data but selectively reads the required data only.

ITS COMMUNICATION

• ITS communication is a multiplex communication system. This enables the system to transmit and receive large quantities of data at high speed by connecting control units with 2 communication lines.

• ITS communication lines adopt twisted-pair line style (two lines twisted) for noise immunity.

DTC DETECTION LOGIC

FAIL-SAFE

The following systems are canceled:

• Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

• Intelligent Lane Intervention (I-LI)

• Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection

• Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)

• Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR)

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

1. Start the engine.

2. Turn the AEB or LDW system ON.

3. Perform “All DTC Reading”.

4. Check if “U1000-01” is detected as the current malfunction in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “LANE CAMERA”.

Is “U1000-01” detected as the current malfunction?

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

PERFORM THE SELF-DIAGNOSIS

CONSULT

1. Turn the ignition switch ON.

2. Turn the AEB or LDW system ON.

3. Perform “All DTC Reading”.

4. Check if “U1000-01” is detected as the current malfunction in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “LANE CAMERA”.

Is “U1000-01” detected as the current malfunction?

Refer to Trouble Diagnosis Flow Chart.
