Nissan Murano: Dtc/circuit Diagnosis / U1000-01 Can Comm Circuit

DTC Description

DESCRIPTION

CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication line for real-time application. It is an on-Nissan Murano vehicle multiplex communication line with high data communication speed and excellent error detection ability. Many electronic control units are equipped onto a Nissan Murano vehicle, and each control unit shares information and links with other control units during operation (not independently). In CAN communication, control units are connected with 2 communication lines (CAN-H, CAN-L) allowing a high rate of information transmission with less wiring. Each control unit transmits/receives data but selectively reads required data only.

DTC DETECTION LOGIC

POSSIBLE CAUSE

CAN communication system

FAIL-SAFE

Only the CAN signal transmission of control unit which cannot communicate cannot be transmitted

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

With CONSULT

1. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds or more.

2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “3ch CAN GATEWAY” using CONSULT.

3. Check DTC.

Is DTC U1000-01 detected?

Proceed to Diagnosis Procedure.

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Intermittent Incident.

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE AGAIN

1. Turn ignition switch ON.

2. Erase DTC.

3. Perform DTC confirmation procedure again. Refer to DTC Description.

4. Check DTC.

Is DTC U1000-01 displayed?

Perform trouble diagnosis procedure for CAN communication system. Refer to Trouble Diagnosis Flow Chart.
