DTC DETECTION LOGIC
When the ignition switch is ON, TCM is unable to receive the CAN communications signal from ECM continuously for 2 seconds or more.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
ECM
Harness or connector (CAN communication line is open or shorted)
FAIL-SAFE
Selector shock is large
Start is slow
Acceleration is slow
Lock-up is not performed
CHECK DTC PRIORITY
WhenDTC U0100 is displayed together with DTC U0300, diagnose first the DTC U0300.
Is "U0300" detected?
YES>>Perform diagnosis of DTC U0300. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
NO>>GO TO 2.
PREPARATION BEFORE WORK
If another “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE” occurs just before, turn ignition switch OFF and wait for at least 10 seconds, then perform the next test.

GO TO 3.
PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
Start the engine and wait for at least 5 seconds.
Check the DTC.
Is “U0100” detected?
YES>>Go to Diagnosis Procedure.
NO-1>>To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.
NO-2>>Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

U0073 Communication Bus a Off
U0102 Lost Communication (transfer)
Theremaybe one or two seatback pockets located on the back of the driver and passenger seats. The pockets can be used to store maps.
