Component Function Check

ACTIVE TEST

CONSULT

  1. Select “TILT MOTOR” in “Active Test” mode of “AUTO DRIVE POS.”.

  2. Check that the function operates normally.

Is the operation of relevant parts normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Perform diagnosis procedure. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK TILT MOTOR POWER SUPPLY

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect tilt motor.

  3. Ignition switch ON.

  4. Select “TILT MOTOR” in “Active Test” mode of “AUTO DRIVE POS”.

  5. Check voltage between tilt motor harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace tilt motor. Refer to Exploded View.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK TILT MOTOR CIRCUIT

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect automatic drive positioner control unit.

  3. Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and tilt motor harness connector.

  4. Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace automatic drive positioner control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.
