Nissan Murano: Dtc/circuit Diagnosis / Steering Vibration Motor

Component Function Check

CHECK STEERING VIBRATION MOTOR

CONSULT

1. Turn the power switch ON

2. Select the active test item “Vibration motor” of “ICC/ADAS”.

3. Check the operation.

   On	: Steering vibration motor is activated.
   Off	: Steering vibration motor is not activated.

Is the inspection result normal?

Inspection End

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

CHECK STEERING VIBRATION MOTOR CIRCUIT

1. Turn the power switch OFF

2. Disconnect the ADAS control unit and combination switch (spiral cable) connectors.

3. Check continuity between combination switch (spiral cable) harness connector and ADAS control unit harness connector.

4. Check continuity between combination switch (spiral cable) harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

GO TO 2.

Repair the harnesses or connectors.

CHECK COMBINATION SWITCH (SPIRAL CABLE)

Check for continuity between combination switch (spiral cable) terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?

GO TO 3.

Replace combination switch (spiral cable).

CHECK STEERING VIBRATION MOTOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT

CONSULT

1. Connect the ADAS control unit and combination switch (spiral cable).

2. Turn the power switch ON.

3. Perform the active test item "Vibration motor" of "ICC/ADAS".

4. Check voltage between the each ADAS control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

Replace the steering vibration motor. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Replace the ADAS control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.
