![Nissan Murano. I-FCW system operation](images/i_fcw_system_operation-351/1/nissan_murano_i_fcw_system_operation_811.gif)
The I-FCW system operates at speeds
above approximately 3 mph (5 km/h).
If there is a potential risk of a forward collision,
the I-FCW system will warn the driver
by blinking the vehicle ahead detection indicator,
and sounding an audible alert.
WARNING
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions
for proper use of the I-FCW
system could result in serious injury or
death.
The I-FCW system can help warn the
driver before a collision occurs but will
not avoid a collision...
Perform the following steps to turn the
I-FCW system on or off.
Press the button until
“Settings”
displays in the vehicle information display
and then press the OK button...
Other information:
Apply the parking brake.
Move the shift lever to P (Park) or N
(Neutral). P (Park) is recommended.
The starter is designed not to operate
unless the shift lever is in either P
(Park) or N (Neutral).
Push the ignition switch to the ON position...
The Loose Fuel Cap warning message appears
in the vehicle information display
when the fuel-filler cap is not tightened
correctly after the vehicle has been refueled.
It may take a few driving trips for the
message to be displayed. To turn off the
warning message, perform the following:
Remove and install the fuel-filler cap as
soon as possible...

Your vehicle has two types of security systems:
Vehicle security system
NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System
The vehicle security system provides visual
and audible alarm signals if someone
opens the doors, liftgate or the hood when
the system is armed. It is not, however, a
motion detection type system that activates
when a vehicle is moved or when a
vibration occurs.
