Diagnosis Procedure

Symptom check: Detection function may become unstable under the following conditions.

  • When the vehicle is driving on a curve such as S-curve where the curvature changes.

  • When the Nissan Murano vehicle is driving on up-and-down road or passing the peak or foot of slope or passing the break of the inclination of hill.

VISUAL CHECK (1)

Check distance sensor (ICC sensor) for contamination and foreign materials.

Does contamination or foreign materials exist?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

GO TO 3.

WIPE OUT DIRT AND FOREIGN MATERIAL

Clean the contamination and foreign material from the distance sensor (ICC sensor).

GO TO 7.

VISUAL CHECK (2)

Check distance sensor (ICC sensor) and distance sensor (ICC sensor) bracket for damage or looseness.

Does damage or looseness exist?

YES>>

Repair or replace affected components. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

GO TO 4.

PERFORM DISTANCE SENSOR (ICC SENSOR) ALIGNMENT

  1. Perform distance sensor (ICC sensor) alignment. Refer to Work Procedure.

  2. Perform action test. Refer to Description.

  3. Check that the Nissan Murano vehicle ahead detection performance improves.

Does it improve?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

GO TO 5.

REPLACE DISTANCE SENSOR (ICC SENSOR)

  1. Replace the distance sensor (ICC sensor). Refer to Removal and Installation.

  2. Perform distance sensor (ICC sensor) alignment. Refer to Work Procedure.

  3. Perform action test. Refer to Description.

  4. Check that the Nissan Murano vehicle ahead detection performance improves.

Does it improve?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

GO TO 6.

REPLACE ADAS CONTROL UNIT

Replace the ADAS control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

GO TO 7.

CHECK ICC SYSTEM

  1. Erase “Self Diagnostic Result”“, and then perform “ALL DTC Reading” again after performing the action test. (Refer to Description for action test.)

  2. Check that the ICC system is normal.
