Component Parts Location

1.	Rear sonar sensor RH inner	Refer to Sonar Sensor.
2.	Rear sonar sensor RH outer	Refer to Sonar Sensor.
3.	Around view monitor control unit (if equipped)	Around view monitor control unit transmits the setting change request signal to sonar control unit via CAN communication. Refer to Component Parts Location (with display audio system) or Component Parts Location (with Navigation system) for detailed component location.
4.	Sonar control unit	Refer to Sonar Control Unit.
5.	ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)	ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) transmits the Nissan Murano vehicle speed signal (wheel speed) to sonar control unit via CAN communication. Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
6.	Front sonar sensor RH outer (if equipped)	Refer to Sonar Sensor.
7.	Front sonar sensor RH inner (if equipped)
8.	Front sonar sensor LH inner (if equipped)
9.	Front sonar sensor LH outer (if equipped)
10.	TCM (Transmission Control Module)	TCM transmits the transmission range indication signal to sonar control unit via CAN communication. Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
11.	IPDM E/R (Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room)	IPDM E/R transmits the battery voltage signal to sonar control unit via CAN communication. Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
12.	Combination meter	Combination meter transmits the setting change request signal to sonar control unit via CAN communication. Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
13.	Sonar buzzer	Refer to Sonar Buzzer.
14.	Steering angle sensor	Steering angle sensor transmits the steering angle signal to sonar control unit via CAN communication. Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
15.	Rear sonar sensor LH outer	Refer to Sonar Sensor.
16.	Rear sonar sensor LH inner	Refer to Sonar Sensor.

Sonar Control Unit

The sonar control unit is located behind the RH side of the instrument panel above the glove box.
For Nissan Murano vehicles with Intelligent Around View Monitor system, sonar sensor signals are received by the sonar control unit and transmitted to the around view monitor control unit or combination meter via CAN communication for the indicator display.
For Nissan Murano vehicles without Intelligent Around View Monitor system, sonar sensor signals are received by the sonar control unit and transmitted to the AV control unit or combination meter via CAN communication for the indicator display.
Sonar control unit outputs a buzzer signal for audible alert.

Sonar Sensor

The sonar sensors are installed in the front and rear bumper fascias.
When a distance from an obstacle is detected, a signal is transmitted to the sonar control unit.

Buzzer

The sonar buzzer is located behind the instrument lower panel LH.
The sonar buzzer sounds with the signal from the sonar control unit.
