Nissan Murano: Side Radar (rear Right) (side Radar Rh) / C1b51-16 Blind Spot Warning Indicator Short Circuit

DTC Description

DTC DETECTION LOGIC

POSSIBLE CAUSE

• Blind Spot Warning indicator RH circuit

• Blind Spot Warning indicator RH

• Side radar RH

FAIL-SAFE

The following systems are canceled:

• Blind Spot Warning (BSW)

• Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

1. Start the engine.

2. Select “All DTC Reading” mode.

3. Check if “C1B51-16” is detected as the current malfunction in “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “Side radar (Rear right)”.

Is the “C1B51-16” detected as the current malfunction?

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

CHECK BSW INDICATOR CIRCUIT FOR SHORT

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

2. Disconnect side radar RH harness connector and BSW indicator RH harness connector.

3. Check continuity between side radar RH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

GO TO 2.

Repair the harnesses or connectors.

REPLACE THE BLIND SPOT WARNING INDICATOR

CONSULT

1. Replace the blind spot warning indicator RH.

2. Perform “All DTC Reading”.

3. Check if the “C1B51-16” is detected in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “Side radar (Rear right)”

Is the DTC “C1B51-16” detected?

Replace the side radar RH. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Inspection End.
