Nissan Murano: Symptom Diagnosis / Both Side Headlamps (hi) Are Not Turned on

Diagnosis Procedure

Both side headlamps (HI) are not turned ON when setting to the lighting switch HI or PASS.

COMBINATION SWITCH INSPECTION

Check combination switch. Refer to Symptom Table.

Is the inspection result normal?

GO TO 2.

Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.

CHECK HEADLAMP (HI) REQUEST SIGNAL INPUT

CONSULT

1. Select “HL HI REQ” in “Data Monitor” mode of “IPDM E/R”.

2. While operating the lighting switch, check the monitor status.

   Monitor item	Condition		Monitor status
   HL HI REQ	Lighting switch (2ND)	HI or PASS	On
   		LO	Off

Is the inspection result normal?

Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
