DTC Description

DTC DETECTION LOGIC

NOTE:

  • If DTC B261E is displayed with DTC U1000, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC U1000. Refer to DTC Description.

  • If DTC B261E is displayed with DTC U1010, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC U1010. Refer to DTC Description.

  • BCM mis-configuration

  • Wrong ECM installed

FAIL-SAFE

Inhibit engine cranking

DTC Confirmation Procedure

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON under the following conditions:

    • Shift selector lever is in the P (Park) or N (Neutral) position.

    • Do not depress brake pedal.

  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “BCM”.

  3. Check DTC.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO>>

Inspection End.

Diagnosis Procedure

INSPECTION START

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “BCM”.

  3. Check DTC.

  4. Touch “ERASE”.

  5. Perform DTC Confirmation Procedure. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Inspection End.

PERFORM BCM CONFIGURATION.

Perform the BCM configuration. Refer to Work Procedure.

GO TO 3.

INSPECTION START

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “BCM”.

  3. Check DTC.

  4. Touch “ERASE”.

  5. Perform DTC Confirmation Procedure. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Inspection End.

CONFIRM ECM PART NUMBER.

Confirm the part number of the installed ECM is correct.

Is the ECM part number correct?

YES>>

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Replace ECM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
