REMOVAL
Remove the ignition coil. Refer to Removal and Installation (bank 2) and Removal and Installation (bank 1).
Remove the spark plug with Tool.

INSPECTION AFTER REMOVAL
Use the standard type spark plug for normal condition.

CAUTION:
Do not drop or shock spark plug. Discard spark plug if dropped.
Do not use a wire brush for cleaning.

If plug is covered with carbon, a spark plug cleaner may be used.
| Cleaner air pressure | : less than 588 kPa (6 kg/cm2, 85 psi) |
| Cleaning time | : less than 20 seconds |
Spark plug gap adjustment is not required between replacement intervals.

Measure spark plug gap. When it exceeds the limit, replace spark plug even if it is within the specified replacement mileage. Refer to Spark Plug.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Camshaft Valve Clearance
The autolight system allows the headlights to turn on and off automatically. The autolight system can:
Turn on the headlights, front parking, tail, license plate and instrument panel lights automatically when it is dark. Turn off all the lights (except daylight running lights) when it is light. Keep all the lights on for a period of time after you place the ignition switch in the OFF position and all doors are closed.
