Seat Belt Warning Chime

SYSTEM DIAGRAM

WARNING OPERATION CONDITIONS

Front Seat Belts

If all of the following conditions are fulfilled:

Operation conditions
Ignition switch	ON
Nissan Murano Vehicle speed	Approximately 9.3 mph (15 km/h) or more.
Front seat belt buckle switch LH	Unfastened (front seat belt buckle switch LH ON)
Front seat belt buckle switch RH	Front passenger seat is occupied, seat belt unfastened (front seat belt buckle switch RH ON).

Rear Seat Belts

If all of the following conditions are fulfilled:

Operation conditions
Ignition switch	ON
Nissan Murano Vehicle speed	Approximately 9.3 mph (15 km/h) or more.
Rear seat belt	When any rear seat belt changes from fastened to unfastened.

WARNING CANCEL CONDITIONS

Front Seat Belts

Warning is canceled if any of the following conditions are fulfilled:

Operation conditions
Ignition switch	OFF
Shift selector	Shift position is in P.
Front seat belt buckle switch LH	Fastened (front seat belt buckle switch LH OFF)
Front seat belt buckle switch RH	Front passenger seat is unoccupied or seat belt fastened (front seat belt buckle switch RH OFF)
90 seconds after the start of warning sound.

Rear Seat Belts

If any of the following conditions are fulfilled:

Operation conditions
Ignition switch	OFF
Rear seat belt	When any rear seat belt changes from unfastened to fastened.

SIGNAL PATH

BCM requires warning chime output to combination meter, when it judges seat belt warning chime is necessary from signals below:

Rear seat belt buckle switch LH signal
Rear seat belt buckle switch RH signal
Rear seat belt buckle switch center signal

Rear seat belt buckle switch RH, LH or center

Air bag diagnosis sensor unit

Combination meter

Combination meter sounds integrated buzzer, following the warning chime output requirement (below signal) from BCM:
