Component Function Check

COMBINATION METER INPUT SIGNAL

CONSULT

  1. Select “PKB SW” in “Data Monitor” mode of “METER/M&A”.

  2. Check that the function operates normally according to the following conditions:

PKB SW When parking brake is applied ON
When parking brake is released OFF

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK PARKING BRAKE SWITCH CIRCUIT

  1. Disconnect combination meter harness connector and parking brake switch harness connector.

  2. Check continuity between combination meter harness connector and parking brake switch harness connector.

  3. Check continuity between combination meter harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness or connector.

Component Inspection

CHECK PARKING BRAKE SWITCH

Check continuity between parking brake switch and switch case ground.

Parking brake released No

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Replace parking brake switch. Refer to Removal and Installation.

    Seat Belt Buckle Switch Signal Circuit

    LATCH system lower anchor locations - bench seat

    Your vehicle is equipped with special anchor points that are used with LATCH system compatible child restraints. This system may also be referred to as the ISOFIX or ISOFIX compatible system. With this system, you do not have to use a vehicle seat belt to secure the child restraint unless the combined weight of the child and child restraint exceeds 65 lbs. (29.5 kg). If the combined weight of the child and child restraint is greater than 65 lbs. (29.5 kg), use the vehicle’s seat belt (not the lower anchors) to install the child restraint. Be sure to follow the child restraint manufacturer’s instructions for installation.
