WARNING:
Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Serious burns could occur from high-pressure engine coolant escaping from the radiator. Wrap a thick cloth around the cap. Slowly turn it a quarter turn to allow built-up pressure to escape. Carefully remove the cap by turning it all the way.
NOTE:
When removing components such as hoses, tubes/lines, etc., cap or plug openings to prevent fluid from spilling.
REMOVAL
Partially drain engine coolant from radiator. Refer to Changing Engine Coolant.
CAUTION:
Perform when engine is cold.
Do not spill engine coolant on the drive belt.
Remove engine room cover. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Remove sub tank bracket from cowl top extension.
Remove brake fluid level sensor harness connector from brake fluid level sensor.
Remove air cleaner and air duct assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Remove blow by hose. Refer to Exploded View.
Remove battery tray. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Remove fan motor.
Remove fan from fan motor (if necessary).
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
Cooling fan motor assembly is controlled by ECM. For details, refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Driver’s side
The knee air bag is located in the knee bolster, on the driver’s and passenger’s side. All of the information, cautions and warnings in this manual apply and must be followed. The knee air bag is designed to inflate in higher severity frontal collisions, although it may inflate if the forces in another type of collision are similar to those of a higher severity frontal impact. It may not inflate in certain collisions.
