DTC Description

ADAS control unit judges the gear position based on the following signals.

  • Current gear position signal transmitted from TCM via CAN communication.

  • Value of gear ratio calculated from input speed signal transmitted from TCM via CAN communication.

  • Value of gear ratio calculated from the Nissan Murano vehicle speed signal transmitted from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication.

  • When MAIN switch of ICC system is ON

  • When driving the Nissan Murano vehicle at 10 km/h (6 MPH) or faster for approximately 15 minutes or more.

Signal (terminal) CAN communication signal
Threshold A mismatch between an current gear position signal transmitted from TCM via CAN communication and a gear position calculated by the ADAS control unit continues
Diagnosis delay time Approximately 11 minutes or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Input speed sensor

  • Vehicle speed sensor CVT

  • TCM

  • ADAS control unit

FAIL-SAFE

The following systems are canceled:

  • Vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode

  • Conventional (fixed speed) cruise control mode

  • Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection

  • Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)

  • Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (I-FCW)

  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

  • Intelligent Lane Intervention (I-LI)

  • Blind Spot Warning (BSW)

  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

  • Rear Automatic Braking (RAB)

Confirmation Procedure

CHECK DTC PRIORITY

If DTC “C1A15–64” is displayed with DTC “U1000–01” or “C1A03–29”, or “C1A04–97” first diagnose the DTC “U1000–01”, “C1A03–29”, or “C1A04–97”

Is applicable DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform diagnosis of applicable.

  • U1000–01: Refer to DTC Description

    .
  • C1A03–29: Refer to DTC Description

    .
  • C1A04–97: Refer to DTC Description

    .
NO>>

GO TO 2.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

  1. Start the engine.

  2. Turn the MAIN switch of ICC system ON.

  3. Drive the Nissan Murano vehicle at 10 km/h (6 MPH) or faster for approximately 15 minutes or more.

    CAUTION:

    Always drive safely.

  4. Stop the Nissan Murano vehicle.

  5. Perform “All DTC Reading”.

  6. Check if “C1A15–64” is detected as the current malfunction in the “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ICC/ADAS”.

Is “C1A15–64” detected as the current malfunction?

YES>>

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

NO>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK DTC PRIORITY

If DTC “C1A15–64” is displayed with DTC “U1000–01” or “C1A03–29”, or “C1A04–97” first diagnose the DTC “U1000–01”, “C1A03–29”, or “C1A04–97”

Is applicable DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform diagnosis of applicable.

  • U1000–01: Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

  • C1A03–29: Refer to DTC Description

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK Nissan Murano Vehicle SPEED SIGNAL

CONSULT

Check that “VHCL SPEED SE” operates normally in “DATA MONITOR” of “ICC/ADAS”.

CAUTION:

Be careful of the Nissan Murano vehicle speed.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

GO TO 7.

CHECK GEAR POSITION

CONSULT

Check that “GEAR” operates normally in “DATA MONITOR” of “ICC/ADAS”.

CAUTION:

Be careful of the Nissan Murano vehicle speed.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 5.

NO>>

GO TO 4.

CHECK GEAR POSITION SIGNAL

CONSULT

Check that “GEAR” operates normally in “DATA MONITOR” of “TRANSMISSION”.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 5.

NO>>

GO TO 6.

CHECK INPUT SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL

CONSULT

Check that “INPUT SPEED” operates normally in “DATA MONITOR” of “TRANSMISSION”.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace the ADAS control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

GO TO 6.

CHECK TCM SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS

CONSULT

  1. Perform “All DTC Reading”.

  2. Check if any DTC is detected in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “TRANSMISSION”.

Is any DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform diagnosis on the detected DTC and repair or replace the malfunctioning parts. Refer to DTC Index.

NO>>

Replace the ADAS control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

CHECK ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT) SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS

CONSULT

  1. Perform “All DTC Reading”.

  2. Check if any DTC is detected in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ABS”.

Is any DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform diagnosis on the detected DTC and repair or replace the malfunctioning parts. Refer to DTC Index (with ICC) DTC Index (without ICC).

NO>>

Replace the ADAS control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.
