Nissan Murano: Dtc/circuit Diagnosis / Av Branch Line Circuit

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK CONNECTOR

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

2. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.

3. Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (unit side and connector side).

   • AV control unit (With navigation system)

   • Audio unit (Without navigation system)

   • 3CH CAN gateway

Is the inspection result normal?

GO TO 2.

Repair the terminal and connector.

CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)

1. Disconnect the connector of 3CH CAN gateway.

2. Check the continuity between the 3CH CAN gateway harness connector terminals.

   3CH CAN gateway harness connector			Continuity

   	10	14	Existed

Is the inspection result normal?

GO TO 3.

Check the harness and repair the root cause (IT CAN communication circuit side).

CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

1. Connect the connector of 3CH CAN gateway.

2. Disconnect the following connector.

   • AV control unit (With navigation system)

   • Audio unit (Without navigation system)

3. Check the resistance between the following harness connector terminals.

   • With navigation system

     AV control unit harness connector			Resistance (Ω)
     Connector No.	Terminal No.
     M162	21	41	Approx. 54 – 66

   • Without navigation system

     Audio unit harness connector			Resistance (Ω)
     Connector No.	Terminal No.
     M122	21	41	Approx. 54 – 66

Is the measurement value within the specification?

GO TO 4.

Repair the following.

• AV control unit branch line circuit (With navigation system)

• Audio unit branch line circuit (Without navigation system)

CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT

Check the power supply and the ground circuit of the AV control unit (With navigation system) or audio unit (Without navigation system). Refer to the following.

• Display audio system: Diagnosis Procedure

• Navigation without BOSE: Diagnosis Procedure

• Navigation with BOSE: Diagnosis Procedure

Is the inspection result normal?

Replace the AV control unit (With navigation system) or audio unit (Without navigation system). Refer to the following.

• Display audio system: Removal and Installation

• Navigation without BOSE: Removal and Installation

• Navigation with BOSE: Removal and Installation

Error was detected in the following.

• AV control unit branch line circuit (With navigation system)

• Audio unit branch line circuit (Without navigation system)

Repair the power supply and the ground circuit.
