Component Function Check

CHECK SEAT BACK HEATER FUNCTION

Check whether or not the temperature of the seat back heater changes in accordance with the HEAT switch operation of the climate controlled seat control switch.

Is the inspection result normal?

Inspection End.

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

CHECK SEAT BACK HEATER INPUT SIGNAL

1. Ignition switch ON.

2. Check voltage between seat back heater harness connectors.

   					OFF	0 V

   *:It changes between 12 and 0 V.

   NOTE:

   Wait 1 minute or more after the activation start, and then start the measurement.

Is the inspection result normal?

Replace seat back heater. Refer to Exploded View.

GO TO 2.

CHECK SEAT BACK HEATER CIRCUIT

1. Ignition switch OFF.

2. Disconnect climate controlled seat control unit connector and seat back heater connector.

3. Check continuity between climate controlled seat control unit harness connector and seat back heater harness connector.

4. Check continuity between climate controlled seat control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

Replace climate controlled seat control unit. Refer to Climate Controlled Seat Control Unit.

Repair or replace harness.
