Inhibit engine cranking.
PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
CONSULT
Ignition switch ON under the following conditions, and wait for 2 seconds or more:
CVT selector lever is in the P (park) or N (neutral) position.
Do not depress brake pedal.
Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “BCM”.
Check DTC.
Is DTC detected?
YES>>Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
NO>>Inspection End.
CHECK SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT FOR IPDM E/R
CONSULT
Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “IPDM E/R”.
Erase DTCs.
Ignition switch OFF.
Ignition switch ON.
Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “IPDM E/R”.
Are any DTCs detected?
YES>>Refer to DTC Index.
NO>>GO TO 2.
CHECK IGNITION RELAY (IPDM E/R) CONTROL SIGNAL
Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>GO TO 3.
NO>>Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
CHECK IGNITION RELAY (IPDM E/R) CONTROL SIGNAL CIRCUIT
Ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect BCM connector and IPDM E/R connector E119.
Check continuity between BCM harness connector and IPDM E/R harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation.
