PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
CONSULT
Erase DTC.
Ignition switch OFF.
Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of “AUTO BACK DOOR”, after the ignition switch has been pressed ON for 120 seconds or more.
Is any DTC detected?
YES>>Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
NO>>Inspection End.
CHECK SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT
CONSULT
Ignition switch ON.
Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AUTO BACK DOOR”.
What is the display history of DTC “B242B”?
“CRNT”>>GO TO 2.
“PAST”>>GO TO 3.
CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
CONSULT
Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.
Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AUTO BACK DOOR”.
Is DTC “B242B” detected?
YES>>GO TO 4.
NO>>Inspection End.
ERASE DTC
CONSULT
Ignition switch ON.
Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AUTO BACK DOOR”.
Erase DTC, and then repeat “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE”. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.
Is DTC “B242B” detected?
YES>>GO TO 4.
NO>>Inspection End.
REPLACE MOTION ACTIVATED BACK DOOR CONTROL UNIT
CONSULT
Ignition switch OFF.
Replace motion activated back door control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Ignition switch ON.
Erase DTC, and then repeat “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE”. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.
Is DTC “B242B” detected?
YES>>Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO>>Inspection End.
