DETECT SENSOR POWER SUPPLY

(Kick sensor control unit) 		Diagnosis condition All times
Signal (terminal) –
Threshold When the power supply voltage to the motion activated back door control unit detects an over current.
Diagnosis delay time –

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Harness or connector (power supply circuit)

  • Motion activated back door control unit

  • BCM

FAIL-SAFE

Inhibit hands free operation

DTC Confirmation Procedure

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

  1. Erase DTC.

  2. Ignition switch OFF.

  3. Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of “AUTO BACK DOOR”, after the ignition switch has been pressed ON for 120 seconds or more.

Is any DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO>>

Inspection End.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AUTO BACK DOOR”.

What is the display history of DTC “B242B”?

“CRNT”>>

GO TO 2.

“PAST”>>

GO TO 3.

CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

CONSULT

  1. Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AUTO BACK DOOR”.

Is DTC “B242B” detected?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Inspection End.

ERASE DTC

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AUTO BACK DOOR”.

  3. Erase DTC, and then repeat “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE”. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.

Is DTC “B242B” detected?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Inspection End.

REPLACE MOTION ACTIVATED BACK DOOR CONTROL UNIT

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Replace motion activated back door control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

  3. Ignition switch ON.

  4. Erase DTC, and then repeat “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE”. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.

Is DTC “B242B” detected?

YES>>

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Inspection End.
