Nissan Murano: Symptom Diagnosis / Tire Size Incorrect Is Displayed on Information Display

Diagnosis Procedure

While driving, AWD warning icon/display (Tire Size Incorrect: See Owner′s Manual) is displayed on information display.

CHECK TIRE

Check the following:

• Tire pressure

• Wear condition

• Front and rear tire size (There is no difference between front and rear tires.)

Is the inspection result normal?

GO TO 2.

Repair or replace error-detected parts. And then, drive the Nissan Murano vehicle at speed of 12 MPH (20 km/h) or more for 5 seconds or more. Improper size information is initialized accordingly.

CHECK INPUT SIGNAL OF TIRE DIAMETER

CONSULT

1. Start the engine.

2. Drive at 12 MPH (20 km/h) or more for approximately 4 minutes continually.

3. Select “DIS-TIRE MONI” in “Data Monitor” mode of “ALL MODE AWD/4WD”.

Does the item on “Data Monitor” indicate “0 - 4 mm”?

Inspection End.

GO TO 3.

TERMINAL INSPECTION

Check AWD control unit harness connector for disconnection.

Is the inspection result normal?

Replace AWD control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Repair or replace the error-detected parts.
